Sidd Nullus Reviews AMF Xtreme Bowling for X-Box 360

AMF Xtreme Bowling for the X-Box 360
As XXXcited as I was to see Xtreme Bowling making the rounds as what I hoped would be a hyper-cool video game, I now wish they wouldn't have done this. Unless you've got the hand-eye coordination of a newborn, this game sucks. There's no real challenge involved and no original Xtreme Bowling games to really sink your teeth into, which is kinda lame.

The digital oil on the lanes does nothing to affect your ball roll, making the experience pathetic and your attention wander.

There are some fun video clips that are entertaining and funny the first time you see them, but that's about it. All things considered, if you want to play a damn good bowling video game, you need to own a Nintendo Wii .. where in Wii Sports the physics are actually fairly decent.

AMF should pull an old school Hollywood move and fire the a$$h0le who came up with this dumb idea/concept for a video game. If AMF really believes that Xtreme Bowling is simply bowling under neon lights and that that makes an interesting video game, I weep for the lack vision and originality in both the presentation and execution of what could have been a great game setting itself apart from the rest of the fare available at present time.

Unfortunately, it's pretty evident that you don't have a clue what makes an entertaining video game. Much like your huge oversight in having lane markers that you can’t see when bowling in the black and neon lights at the actual AMF bowling alleys (which you could easily fix with some black light reactive paints on the lane), you haven’t quite figured out how to make this enjoyable, accessible and challenging to all.

In conclusion .. it's a down economy. Video games, brand new, cost in excess of $45.  Used, you're still gonna pay $20 too much for this.  So save your money. Actually go to a bowling alley. You'll have way more fun than this P.O.S.'ll give you.
